Dear Colleagues,
Day 10 was a banner day for our all-campus effort to collect new, warm clothing and personal care products for the men and women at Joseph’s House & Shelter in Troy. The Foundation received hundreds of personal care products from the Holiday Inn of Saratoga Springs! Very special thanks are due to Cynthia Hollowood ’77, a member of the Foundation board of directors, who has served as manager of the hotel for many years.
Please see the most-recent giving tally. It is amazing, but I knew the people on this campus would go above and beyond with this endeavor. Thank you all for proving me right!
We’ve pledged to 12 Days of Giving so will keep the campaign alive and thriving through Thursday, Dec. 13. There’s no reason not to collect as many items as we can, and I know there are people on campus who still plan to contribute.
Here’s a lists of most-needed items:
- Men’s underwear/boxers
- Mittens (adult sizes)
Adults with mobility and/or circulation issues in their hands, often appreciate mittens over gloves. - Scarves
- Long-sleeve shirts
- Long Johns/PJ’s
- Slippers
