Day Care Project recruits parents with children in area care centers

Primarily geared towards parents who are unemployed, or under-employed, the Day Care Project is a new opportunity to encourage parents with children in day care, to consider enrolling at Hudson Valley to begin or resume their college education to enhance career options or improve  promotional opportunities with their current employer.

There are many parents who believe they do not have the time or resources, or simply are not sure what they want to study, according to Louis Coplin, vice president for Enrollment Management and Student Development. The Day Care Project is designed to help those looking for new opportunities, options and directions for life.

With more than 100 licensed day care centers in the Capital District, the goal is to have a presence at each one. Coplin said it’s important to be creative and innovative in introducing new students to the abundant academic offerings the college offers.
