The nomination deadline is Monday, Oct. 22.
The Election Committee of the Academic Senate is calling for nominations to fill the vacancies on the Senate and the Standing Committees of the Senate. The vacancies are posted on the Academic Senate portal under Committees/Election Committee area. Scroll down until you see Call for Nominations. These are the only positions needed to be filled. Any terms ending in 2013 will be up for election in the Spring.
Anyone wishing to nominate themselves or accept a nomination should prepare a short one paragraph bio for posting to the Academic Senate community on the portal. If someone is nominated by another, the Election Committee will contact the nominee and ask her/him if the nomination is accepted. If it is accepted, then a short bio will be needed.
NO BIO, NO ACCEPTANCE OF A NOMINATION. All bios will be posted in the same area as the Call for nominations on the Election Committee area of the Senate portal. Please submit nominations and bios to senateelections@hvcc.edu.
Only those who are members of the constituency served by the vacant position can vote.
For example, if there is a Standing Committee vacancy for a full-time faculty position then only full-time faculty can vote for a nominee to that position.
