Members of Minorities in Criminal Justice, Inc. members and DOCCS employees will present an in-depth description of jobs in the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, including security and civilian employment opportunities, all of which offer good benefits and a pension.
State employee vs. private sector job benefits will be discussed. A demonstration of navigating the civil service website availing a person to the minimum qualifications required for hundreds of NYS jobs. The website is a useful tool when exploring a college major or future career.
