Disability Training Series
Thursday, Oct. 13 from 10:30-11:40 a.m.
Siek Campus Center, room 150

Join the Center for Access and Assistive Technology for a 70-minute presentation. This presentation is the second part of a three-part ADA series to be offered at Hudson Valley Community College by Bryan Baszczuk as part of the ADA Trainer Network.

The presentation will focus on the 1990 Americans with Disabilities Act. Bryan will discuss the history of the ADA, and give an overview of the impact that this legislation has had on our society.

The third presentation in the series will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 16 at 10:30 a.m, also in room 150 of the Campus Center.

The final presentation will focus on employment and the ADA. It will highlight a number of famous people with disabilities, both historical and current figures, who have been very successful. This presentation will run approximately 60 minutes.

The college community is encouraged to attend as many of the presentations as possible. (Those who attend all three, will receive a certificate of completion.)

Light refreshments will be provided.

Please RSVP to Tara Isopo at t.isopo@hvcc.edu by Friday, Oct. 7 if you plan to attend.
