Due to declining demand and increasing equipment obsolescence, Dwight Marvin Library’s iPad lending service will end at the conclusion of the spring semester.
Starting in 2011, the iPads were loaned hundreds of times to students and faculty. The iPad lending service led the way to the popular laptop lending service that remains available.
Thanks to Assistant Professor Cindy Koman and to Jennifer Acker, who were leaders on the iPad Tech Team. Also, thanks to ITS for their support of this service and for their assistance with the library’s initiatives to repurpose the equipment. The iPads are now used for the self-service online room reservation system, library digital signage, and for a variety of staff functions.
