Documentary on Monday highlights strides and achievements in the African-American Community

A social commentary documentary will be shown at 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 28 in the BTC Auditorium. The event, sponsored by the Black and Latino Student Alliance and Educational Opportunity Program Club, is open to the campus community.

Hoodwinkedwill offer an exploration of the most recent data being released by the US Census, Department of Education and Department of Justice that highlight strides and achievements in the African-American community.

Produced by author and filmmaker Janks Morton, the film will feature expert contributors and man-on-the-street interviews that examine the relationship between media, government and special interests, as they exploit imagery, statistics and data that often present a skewed perspective of the modern era African-American experience.
