Through our ECAR (Every Campus a Refuge) program, HVCC has worked with Sage college in support of a refugee family as they resettle in our community. Sage College has provided housing for them and both colleges worked to provide language support, cultural orientation, professional development and companionship. Our family recently moved off of Sage College campus, to Schenectady.
If you have anything in your home that you don’t need, perhaps consider donating it to help them set up their new home. I have attached a list of needed items: ECAR move – housing needs. Please don’t bring items that are not requested – it is hard for us to manage a lot of goods. You can always email me to ask.
I can pick up large items and deliver them to the family on Monday August 5, in the afternoon and evening.
Small items that can be easily transported can be dropped off with Polly Karis in Admissions.
