Submit your papers for the Dr. Joseph J. Bulmer Award for Excellence in Library Research!
The deadline for 2021-2022 consideration is Friday, April 29, 2022.
The award-winner receives a monetary award and is recognized at the Student Honors Convocation. The student’s name will also be included in the commencement program and on a perpetual plaque in the Dwight Marvin Library Learning Commons.
A winning paper will meet all of the following criteria:
- Grade of A
- Extensive bibliography with minimum of five sources
- Evidence of initiative, persistence, and ingenuity in identifying sources
- Evidence of critical thinking in evaluating sources for credibility and appropriateness
- Correct citation format
- Authentic academic work, i.e., free of plagiarism (papers may be reviewed using turnitin.com or similar software)
