Channel 13 education reporter Elaine Houston will focus on the college’s innovative collaboration with Ballston Spa High School in a report during the 5:30 p.m. newscast tonight (Tuesday).
The Clean Technologies and Sustainable Industries curriculum is a blended form of instruction that infuses direct instruction with authentic experiences and research provides students with foundational knowledge in the emerging technology fields. Students are dually enrolled in high school and college coursework with the potential of earning more than 20 college credits through Hudson Valley Community College.
Houston visited TEC-SMART to talk with students and faculty members last week.
Also tonight, there will be an information night at TEC-SMART for students from other local school districts who are interested in taking advantage of the program. The program will run from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
