The 2021 eSports season has officially started as the Vikings are competing in eight different games this season with record numbers of participants, doubling from the Spring 2021 semester, which saw the Vikings claim the NJCAAe National Championship in Call of Duty: Duos.

Monday

Call of Duty: Cold War:  The Vikings lost, 3-0, to Hutchinson Community College. They are scheduled to play Northeastern Oklahoma A&M this week.

Rocket League: The Vikings have two teams competing this semester in the Rocket League events.
–Rocket League (Team One): WON, 3-0, over Monroe Community College; scheduled to play Wake Technical this week.
–Rocket League (Team Green): Bye week; scheduled to play Shelton State this week.

Tuesday

Wednesday

Super Smash Bros: This is the most popular game among the Vikings eSports program. We have eight individuals competing weekly for a chance to clinch a playoff berth following the eight-week season.

–Tylar M.: Did not play, had a bye week.
–Christian M.: WON 3-0 over Crowder College.
–Matthew P.: Lost 3-1 to Alexandria Technical CC
–Shane T.: Lost by forfeit to Madison College.
–William M.: Lost 3-1 to Snow College.
–Benny W.: WON by forfeit over Finger Lakes.

Hearthstone: We have two students participating in Heartstone this semester, including Ligori K., who finished the spring 2021 semester as the nation’s top-ranked Hearthstone player.

–Ligori K.: WON, 3-1, over Northwest College; scheduled for a bye week.
–Tylar M.: WON, 3-0, over Ocean County; scheduled to play Shelton State this week.

Thursday

Overwatch: The Vikings WON by forfeit over Hawkeye Community College. They are scheduled to take on Finger Lakes this week.

Call of Duty: Gun Fight: There are two teams participating for the Vikings.
–HVCC Team 1: The Vikings team WON, 3-1, over HVCC Team 2 last week and are scheduled to play Southwest Wisconsin Technical College.
–HVCC Team 2: The Vikings lost to HVCC Team 1 last week and are scheduled to play Nassau Community College this week.

Friday

Valorant: The Vikings earned a win via forfeit over Nassau. They are scheduled for a bye week and will return to action on Oct. 21 when they play Monroe Community College.
