This election year, members of Gen Z are estimated to be 1 in 10 eligible voters — about 24 million people according to the Pew Research Center.
The Face the Facts: Election 2020 Youth Town Hall, co-hosted by the PBS NewsHour Student Reporting Labs and the Poynter Institute’s MediaWise, will feature teen voices and first-time voters in conversation with leading journalists about how to be prepared and better informed this election season. The free, interactive event will include discussions about the challenges facing voters during the pandemic and solutions for finding reliable and accurate information online.
