Facebook, Social Networking and You

Todat at 11 a.m., Library Multipurpose Room

Please join us for a Teaching Circle, sponsored by the Center for Effective Teaching and Dr. Carolyn Curtis, on how we use Facebook and other social networking sites as a college, as staff members and as faculty members.

A panel of Facebook expert-users will each briefly discuss how he or she uses Facebook, et al, after which the discussion will open for all to ask questions and to comment as to these Web 2.0 tools.

Graciously agreeing to serve as panelists are Eric Bryant, Assistant Director of Communications and Marketing, and Sandi Eyerman, our Web Editor, who will talk about how the College uses Facebook; Caelynn Prylo, Assistant Director of Community and Professional Education, who will discuss how staff members might use such sites for networking and efficient communications; Tony Podlaski, who will describe how faculty members can use Facebook for their classes or student outreach, and Mark Petersen, who will talk about upcoming changes.

Courtesy of Dr. Curtis, coffee and tea will be served.

Do you use Facebook?
