Hudson Valley Community College is one of the lead academic sponsors for a SUNY-wide public deliberation to mark Constitution Day on Thursday, Sept. 17.
Please encourage your students, especially if they are interested in voting rights and the democratic process, to join this virtual gathering that will draw students from around the SUNY system’s colleges and universities. Faculty also can participate as note takers and moderators.
The event will be held on the Zoom meeting platform. After an introduction, students will go into smaller pre-assigned groups of 14-25 with pre-determined moderators and note takers. All groups will come back to a general session once they have discussed the various perspectives in the smaller groups.
