The Distance Learning Office is available to assist faculty with converting and importing their exams/quizzes into their online courses in Blackboard.
If you are interested in taking advantage of this service, please email your exam/quiz and answer key as Word documents to dlstaff@hvcc.edu. Our staff will work on converting your exam and importing it into your course. This process roughly takes about a week or so to complete so please plan accordingly.
Our two Content Developers, Denise Russo and Mark Petersen will be the staff members primarily working on these conversions and may reach out to you directly if they have questions regarding your exam or quiz. After emailing your exam to the DL office, it will be forwarded to either of them for processing. They will reach out to you let you know they have your exam and that they are working to convert it. If you have questions regarding the exam conversion, please feel free to contact them directly.
Lastly, our office uses Respondus, which is a tool for creating and managing assessments. Many of you may use this on your own already, and there are resources available on our Support and Training page in Blackboard. You’ll want to scroll almost all the way down until you see the title “Respondus.”
