Faculty Resource Room and the Faculty Mentors

The Center for Effective Teaching allocates funding to provide our teaching faculty with access to state of the art instructional technology and scheduled access to knowledgeable colleagues who can walk you though the learning curve to incorporating this technology in your classes.

All of this can be found in BTC-1052 — the Faculty Resource Room, an area specifically designed as a resource for college faculty.

Whether it be access to a PC to check your e-mail, a few quick copies, the need to make a phone call, to scan or fax a document… the Faculty Resource Room is available to all who teach.

For a part of each day, the room is staffed with a Faculty Mentor, who is there to help with any questions or issues regarding teaching and learning and/or the use of instructional technology.

Many of your colleagues spend time between classes using the facilities. For others, it is a quick stop to make a call or photocopy an attendance record. The resources available in BTC-1052 are there to support your work on campus and if you haven’t taken advantage of all that is offered, we encourage you to do so.

More information about the Faculty Resource Room and the Faculty Mentor Program can be found at the CET web pages:
