I hope this email finds you healthy and well.
The Athletic Department is continuing to monitor the academic standing of our student-athletes. Given the circumstances, we are checking in with each student-athlete on a weekly basis to see if they need help in a certain class or how we can better assist them in this new remote learning modality. It is challenging not having direct contact with our student-athletes, but we are continuing to explore new ways to ensure academic success.
Toward that goal, we have created a Faculty Student-Athlete Referral Form, which also can be found at the link below. This is a quick way for you to let us know if someone hasn’t been active in your class, or if you feel they are struggling and need assistance. We would greatly appreciate if you utilize this form for any student-athlete that you may have in your class. Feel free to reach out directly to me (j.hoyt@hvcc.edu) with any questions. We sincerely appreciate all that you do for our athletes and for always looking out for their best interests!
