Family games for Easter!

We got both of these lightly used games as Easter gifts and then they got left behind at Grandma’s house (and Grandma sent them back to us). Now we are looking to find homes for:

  1. “Phase 10 Masters” — a card game with a nice tin box that is one large game made up of 10 smaller games. You are dealt a hand and choose which of the 10 “phases” you think you can complete during that hand. Kinda like Yahtzee, but with rules like Gin or Rummy (e.g., one “phase” is 2 sets of 3, another is 1 set of 4 and a run of 4); $5.
  2. “Once Upon a Time” — a card game for storytellers. No, really. Definitely geared for kids (or adults) who like to tell stories that have that classic fairy tale feeling (looking at you OUAT fans here). You draw a hand of cards and tell a story by discarding cards with story elements. The goal is to have just “and they lived happily ever after” card left to discard to you finish the game. The game plays well for ages 8-15 (or older) creative types. There is a nice series of reviews on Amazon about it. Includes a bonus deck of “Dark Tales” for a more Grimms’ Fairy Tales-experience, $20.
