The Voices: A Library Lecture Series committee is pleased to present “Is There Still an Opportunity for the Dream?” by Dr. Reverend Eric Shaw on Wednesday, Feb. 4, from noon to 12:50 p.m. in the BTC Auditorium.
Dr. Reverend Eric Shaw, pastor of Bethel Baptist Church in Troy, discusses the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and the lessons we can learn from him today as we grapple with contemporary racial struggles. In particular, Shaw speaks about Dr. King’s “Letter from Birmingham Jail.” This presentation kicks off “Created Equal: America’s Civil Rights Struggle” programs. A reception follows.
