The Dwight Marvin Library is investigating a new campus subscription to the New York Times online (nytimes.com plus added content). Students, faculty and other employees are welcome to indicate interest before the end of the week through a quick online poll.
If the subscription is added, the library will cancel its current subscription to ProQuest New York Times Historical, which includes NYT content from 1851-2018, when it expires in Summer 2022 to fund the new subscription. The NYTimes.com platform offers the similar historical backfiles (1851-2002), but with a less robust search option. The poll provides PQ NYT Historical users an option to add comments about the value of that database and its potential cancellation.
