Final Day: 12 Days of Giving to benefit Joseph’s House & Shelter

Dear Colleagues,

Today marks the final day of our all-campus effort to collect new, warm clothing and personal care products for the men and women at Joseph’s House & Shelter in Troy. Following a correction that increased the giving tally posted on Dec. 12, the total now is 2,285 items — nearly twice our goal to collect 1,200 items.

Take a look at the latest giving tally. To say it’s very impressive is an understatement. Thank you one and all for your generous participation!

And donations still can be made today! We’ve pledged to do 12 Days of Giving, so the campaign continues through Thursday, Dec. 13.

Here’s a lists of most-needed items:

  • Men’s underwear/boxers
  • Mittens (adult sizes)
Adults with mobility and/or circulation issues in their hands, often appreciate mittens over gloves.
  • Scarves
  • Long-sleeve shirts
  • Long Johns/PJ’s
  • Slippers

Deliver your donations to any of the following drop-off locations:

ADM 140 – Human Resources (Dina Farr)
CTR first floor – Viking’s Cove Bookstore
