Fine Arts faculty in exhibitions

Fine Arts faculty members Tara Fracalossi, associate professor, and Thomas Lail, professor, will have work included in Inspired Views 2018, an exhibition of artists who are educators at Montserrat Gallery, Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, MA.

The exhibition is on view from June 8 through July 8 with an opening from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 16. Visit www.montserrat.edu/portfolio-item/inspiredviews// for more information.

Lail also has two photographs shot during his 1999 pilgrimage/stay at famed Minimalist sculptor Donald Judd’s compound in Marfa, TX included as contextual accompaniment to the exhibition Donald Judd: Variations on a Theme on view through Sept. 9 at the Hudson River Museum in Yonkers. Visit https://www.hrm.org/exhibits/listings/2018-donald-judd-variations-on-a-theme.html to learn more about the exhibition that opened June 1.

Both Fracalossi and Lail also had their work included in True North, a large show of small works  at LABspace in Hillsdale, NY. Julie Torres curated the exhibition that closed June 2.

Crowd, Lail’s 11-panel installation in the street-level window niches of the Grand Street Community Arts’ historic Saint Anthony Church, is wrapping up its three-year run in the next week or two. Take one last look if you are on Madison Avenue at its intersection with Grand Street in Albany.
