The American Sign Language Club welcomes new members to join! Our first meeting of the semester will be Wednesday, Jan. 31, from 3 to 4 p.m. via Zoom.
As we embark on another semester, we welcome you to join us while we play and compare ASL games with games you already know. (We’ll learn as how to convert them to ASL.) We will also share Deaf idioms and discuss how they are the same or different than everyday idioms, discuss ASL poetry and expressions in comparison to your favorite poem or English expressions, as well as Deaf artists and musicians, exploring how they portray their work in comparison to your favorite artwork or music choice.
As we chat, we will talk about our goals for events and fundraisers for the year. This club offers a wealth of new experiences, knowledge and awareness, fun activities, discussions, and opportunities to connect with your peers. Invite a friend from HVCC to join you and share a whole new language in and out of the club.
We are not just a club but a community.
