Fond farewell

Fellow Hudson Valley-ers,

It’s with a gentle sad face that I must share with you my decision to leave HVCC. This was clearly a very difficult decision for me to make.

It’s hard to believe that 7.7 years ago was when my journey began at the Instructional Media Center in the Marvin Library. I had the pleasure of working with several members of the faculty here on campus, as well as hundreds of students on a weekly basis. Whether we briefly only said ‘hello’ or spent 20 minutes ‘shootin’ the shish’, thank you for being covered in awesome sauce and making my work days a little brighter.

I am headed off to explore my next chapter as a penguin groomer at the Boston Aquarium. Hahahaha, just kidding — way too cold for me!

I am excited about going back into retail. Although some of you may think I’m certifiably nuts for doing so, I feel it’s where I belong. Time to float back to the Mother Ship. Thank you again for being such a positive group of people to work alongside.

My official last day will be Wednesday, Nov. 30th. Pop into FTZ 316 if you are able for an awesome hug or handshake. If you ever want to get in touch, my contact info is below. This isn’t goodbye, our paths may cross again. Until then, “live long and prosper.”

Goddess Blessings,
Annie Driscoll
