The campus community is encouraged to continue supporting the Student Senate Food Pantry and Sock Drawer, particularly as the season begins to change. Staff and students may bring their non-perishable food products, along with newly-purchased undergarments, socks, thermal underwear, gloves, caps, etc. to the Student Activities Office, room 210 on the second floor of the Siek Campus Center.
The student senate recognizes that many members of the campus and community are in need of some of these bare essentials, according to Nathaniel Savasta, Student Senate president. “Some of the undergarments will be donated to local area missions and shelters,” Savasta said. “This drive is just one more way we are able to contribute to our campus and community to those less fortunate.”
Savasta added that the clothing donations will be collected throughout the winter season.
