Please extend a warm welcome to Janet “Jan” McCart, who recently joined the Foundation staff as finance manager. In her new role, Jan will manage the financial accounting of more than 200 separate funds, coordinate with investment managers, and work closely with the finance committee and audit committee of the Foundation Board of Directors.
Jan comes to us from Bennington College with nearly 20 years of experience in non-profit accounting and finance. She holds a bachelor’s degree in art history from SUNY Potsdam and a master’s degree in accounting from SUNY Albany.
When she is not crunching numbers, Jan and her husband Keith are busy with their three teen-age sons, who they recently adopted from an orphanage in Port au Prince, Haiti. Jan enjoys spending time with her new family, attending the boys’ soccer and basketball games, traveling, cooking and gardening.
We look forward to introducing Jan to faculty and staff who work closely with the Foundation. If you have a chance, stop by the Foundation office (we are located at 400 Jordan Road) to say “hello.”
