“Karen’s beautiful life will be recognized through this scholarship…”
This kind sentiment recently was shared by a childhood friend of Karen Campana while discussing the Karen A. Campana Memorial Scholarship. This new scholarship was created by Karen’s husband, Clem, a Hudson Valley Community College alumnus and longtime employee of the college, and their two daughters Amy and Kari, to honor Karen and allow her kindness to live on through our students.
Karen’s greatest joy in life was caring for her family and friends. When Karen required care herself, it was reciprocated by the nursing staff at St. Peter’s Hospital. The Campana family recognized the importance of having qualified and compassionate nurses in the Capital Region and that is why they created the Karen A. Campana Memorial Scholarship. This funds will provide financial assistance to help future nurses achieve their educational and professional goals.
We know that this gift will honor the incredible life of Karen Campana and ensure that her beautiful life will be remembered.
