Empire State College in Saratoga Springs is hosting its Center for Distance Learning Conference on Tuesday, April 29. They are opening this conference to interested faculty and staff to attend for FREE either in-person or virtually.
From the conference website:
This year’s conference, titled, “To the Future and Beyond: The new face of online education,” will explore current trends in open and distance education and consider what the online learning landscape (and higher education) will look like in five, 10, or 15 years. The one-day program for this year’s conference will include our keynote speaker, Bryan Alexander, senior fellow of the National Institute for Technology in Liberal Education, who will be speaking on the emerging trends of online education. In addition, afternoon sessions will include a panel discussion on Empire State College and the Open SUNY initiative and a choice of concurrent sessions and presentations exemplifying or discussing the current trends and future of online learning (all sessions to be offered onsite AND virtually).
