The Friends of Oakwood Cemetery host Spirits Under The Stars, a wine tasting party, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 3 that features wines from the Capoccia Winery and Brookview Station Winery, as well as hors d’oeuvres and desserts served in the Gardner Earl Chapel, a National Historic Landmark.
A popular wedding venue, the chapel has stunning stained glass windows and a unique interior. Attendees can view the Cohoes Falls and watch the sunset from the best vantage point in Rensselaer County on the chapel porch.
Each ticket holder receives several tastings plus a glass of your choice of one wine and a chance to win door prizes. Wines also are available for purchase.
Tickets for Spirits Under the Stars are available through Eventbrite.com at $35 per person, $60 per couple, $20 designated driver. (Pay at Eventbrite by July 31 or call !-800-556-6273 by Aug. 1 to register and pay upon arrival.)
