Friends of Oakwood offer “Wild Women” tour on Saturday, July 20

 

Join historian Kathy Sheehan on Saturday, July 20 at 9 a.m. for a tour to “North of the Ponds” in Troy’s Oakwood Cemetery.

A new program offering of the Friends of Oakwood, the tour will explore an area of the cemetery dubbed North of the Ponds and visit grave sites of women who had an impact on the region’s history, including suffragists, philanthropists and more.

Participants will assemble at the Gardner Earl Chapel flagpole at the Oakwood Avenue entrance to the cemetery and caravan to the tour site.
