An exhibition featuring new and recent works by Tara Fracalossi opened Dec. 14 at Half Moon Books and Projects in Tivoli, NY.
An assistant professor in the Department of Fine Arts, Theatre Arts and Digital Media, Fracalossi also serves as director of The Teaching Gallery. Her work also was included in Artists of the Mohawk Hudson Region, an annual juried exhibition hosted Oct. 11 through Dec. 4 by The Hyde Collection in Glens Falls.
The Tivoli exhibition, titled “the infinite lawn,” structures photographic excerpts from Fracalossi’s ongoing “Archive“ around the chapter titles of Italo Calvino’s short novel “Mr. Palomar.” The exhibition remains on view through Jan. 27; Halfmoon Books is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. A publication documenting the project will be available.
