The HVCC Garden and Horticulture Club meets from 4 to 5 p.m. Mondays in the Greenhouse, located on the third floor of the Science Center. The meetings are open to all interested students, faculty and staff.
The agenda for Monday, Feb. 6, includes the election of officers, and Vincent Giordano, the campus photographer, will take a club photo. During the remaining 25 minutes, students will plant their own micro-greens to take home.
Students who would like to plant micro-greens are encouraged to bring a plastic take-out box (similar to those pictured).
Micro-greens are great to add to soups, tacos, pasta dishes, pizzas, sandwiches, and much more. They are a great source of antioxidants, potassium, iron, zinc, magnesium and copper.
Hope to see you at at the meeting!
