Giving Cup Competition continues to benefit campus Food Pantry

There still is time to participate in Hudson Valley Community College’s Annual Giving Cup Competition! This year, the challenge to donate the most items to the campus’s Food Panty  is open to all departments, including academic, administrative and student-services.

Currently, the Financial Aid Office stands in the lead, with the English, Modern Language Department in second place, but there is still time for any department to join in.

Many of our students often are dealing with issues of economic hardship while juggling their academic and other responsibilities. The food pantry helps meet some of their basic needs so that they can continue to be successful at Hudson Valley.

The deadline for contributions to be counted for the competition  is Monday, April 15 and the Giving Cup winners will be announced at the Global Youth Service’s Day soon after (date TBD).
