Giving back isn’t canceled. Ahead of GivingTuesday (Dec. 1), the Foundation is sharing ways you can express generosity.
- Donate an item. We are 23% to our goal of providing 100 families with a holiday meal. Please make sure to stop by our GivingTuesday Holiday Meal Drive during the drive-thru donation drop-off days. Simply drop off your items at the Hudson Valley clock tower (accessible by entering campus on Holliday Drive) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. every day until Friday, Nov. 20.We still need the following items to help us reach our goal:
- 77 items of gravy
- 82 boxes of mashed potatoes
- 85 boxes of stuffing
- 88 cans of cranberry sauce
- 40 cans of vegetables
- 90 boxed desserts
- Baby items: food, snacks, diapers (all sizes), wipes, shampoo, powder and lotion
- Volunteer to donate time assisting with our events which include: meal bag assembly (Nov. 24) or meal bag distribution (Dec. 1). Please contact Jana Putzig (j.putzig@hvcc.edu) if you can volunteer for an hour or two to help.
- Give! On or before Dec. 1; visit www.hvcc.edu/giving to donate.
- Spread the word. Encourage your friends and family to join you in creating a real impact as we count down to GivingTuesday by sharing what our mission means to you and why you support our organization. Make sure to use the hashtags: #GivingTuesday — #HVCCGives — #GiveBoldly, and to tag @hudsonvalleycc and @hvccalumni.
Thank you to all of those who have already joined the GivingTuesday movement, your contributions are proving that in times of uncertainty, generosity can bring us all together. Let’s keep pushing toward our goal!
