If you’re including strings of lights, try LEDs instead of the traditional incandescents. LEDs use 80 percent less energy than incandescent, and while they cost more upfront they’ll last 25 to 30 years. They don’t heat up and are unbreakable. LEDs come in lots of colors and twinkle just as merrily as the energy-gobblers. Lower your carbon footprint this holiday season.
