As we approach the end of classes with finals around the corner, just a reminder that there are six group study rooms on the second floor of the Marvin Library Learning Commons. Wireless access is available and there are power outlets for laptops or other devices. Most rooms include a white board. (Dry-erase markers and erasers are available at the service desk on the first floor.)
There are two, special study rooms on the first floor: the HonorScholars Research Room and the Study Room for Persons with Disabilities.
On the lower level, the Instructional Media Center administers access to four group rooms for media viewing, as well as rooms specially equipped for training and conferencing. Contact the IMC at 629-7198 for access policy and reservation procedures.
For specific room descriptions and access policies see https://www.hvcc.edu/learning-commons/group-study.html.
These rooms are consistently used, especially at this point in the semester, so students are encouraged to reserve a study room in advance. To obtain a key or to reserve a specific room, please stop by the service desk on the first floor of the Marvin Library or call 629.7336.
