On July 11, representatives from the Rensselaer County Health Department visited Health Services to offer staff in Health Services and the Counseling Center in the use of Narcan (Naloxone).
Narcan is a life-saving treatment that rapidly reverses an opioid overdose. It can be quickly and easily administered by anyone, with no effect on someone who does not have opioids in their system.
Health Services now is able to coordinate and facilitate Narcan training together with the Rensselaer County Health Department.
