The Faculty Workshop Day planning committee has begun preparing for the college’s annual event, which is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019. The event is dedicated to the professional development of Hudson Valley Community College faculty.
The theme for this year is The Pulse of the 21st Century Classroom. We’ve gathered ideas for workshops that focus on retention strategies, student-centered learning, academic engagement, mobile learning, classroom management, and OERs, just to name a few.
As always, we’d like to collect additional suggestions from you. What would you want to learn more about? What kinds of topics haven’t been covered? Do you know anyone (affiliated or unaffiliated with the college) who might be interested in presenting a workshop for us?
