The HVCC Federal Work Study student application is open and we have many eligible students. Please consider having a student assist you in your department. Students typically work anywhere from five to 15 hours/week.
The Federal Work-Study Program (FWS) is a need-based aid program that allows qualified students to work and earn money to help finance college expenses. Funding for this program originates from federal sources and is administered by Hudson Valley Community College’s Financial Aid Office (FAO) and the Center for Careers and Transfer (CCT).
The FWS Program is designed to provide financial assistance to students through part-time employment and encourages recipients to participate in community service activities. In addition to providing opportunities for students to earn a portion of their educational costs, the program provides experience in developing skills, creativity, and responsibility.
If your department is interested in having a work-study student(s) for the Fall 2023 semester, please email Amy Davenport at a.davenport@hvcc.edu.
