Hockey Edged by Erie

 

The #3 men’s hockey team (9-6) lost to Erie Community College (11-6), 6-5, on Saturday afternoon.

The Vikings fell behind 4-0 early in the game, but came back to tie it up with five minutes left in the third period. One minute later, Erie struck back and connected on a goal which was the difference in the game. William Huber (Arlington/Hopewell) led the Vikings with two goals, which gives him 20 on the year. James Murphy (Comsewogue, Long Island), Patrick Raike (Christian Brothers Academy/Malta), and Aiden McHugh (Cushing Academy/Ossining) each added a goal in the one-goal loss.

The Vikings host Mohawk Valley on Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 7 p.m.
