The hockey team opened the season with a tie against RPI Club, 1-1, on Sunday afternoon.
William Huber (Arlington/Hopewell) and James Murphy (Comsewogue, Long Island) picked up where they left off last year as Huber scored from an assist from Murphy in the first period. RPI Club ended up scoring in the third and the game ended in a 1-1 tie after overtime.
The Vikings open up regional play when they travel to Broome on Wednesday, Oct. 30 for a game at 7 p.m.
