The #2 ranked Hudson Valley Community College men’s hockey team (12-4) defeated #3 Broome Community College (14-5) 5-4 on Tuesday. All five goals came from different Viking players.
Scoring for the Vikings were Kenneth Lancto (Schalmont/Rotterdamn), Roman Malyshev (School No. 90/Moscow, Russia), Chris Wollerman (Point Pleasant/Point Pleasant, NJ), Dave Gardner (Lansingburgh/Lansingburgh), and Brett Fiorentino (Vestal/Vestal). Daniel Honovic (Xaverian/Brooklyn) also added two assists .
The Vikings will head to Erie Community College, which is ranked #4 in the National Coaches Poll, on Saturday, Jan. 29. The game is scheduled for 3:15 p.m.
