Honors College Students Help Support The National Alliance on Mental Illness

On Saturday, May 3, 2025 members of the HVCC Honors College and the University at Albany Honors College came together to support a great cause, advocating for mental health. They gathered at the University at Albany campus to take part in the Blue Jean Mile, a one mile walk to raise funds and awareness for mental health issues. Participants were encouraged to make donations to NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, which is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization. The alliance includes more that 700 state organizations working in various communities to provide support and education to those in need.
