HonorScholar informational evening

Dr. Carolyn Curtis and the HonorScholar faculty of Hudson Valley Community College cordially invite potential and interested students to attend a Liberal Arts & Sciences HonorScholar Informational Evening on Thursday, March 2 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Bulmer Telecommunications Center Auditorium.

The HonorScholar program was created to provide a curriculum that will challenge students to perform at the highest levels, change how they think about school and the world, and help them find success in all areas of life. The program was founded on the idea that a liberal arts education — and the critical thinking and creative problem solving that it engenders — is key to a successful and engaging academic life.

The HonorScholar Informational Evening will provide potential students with details about the program, courses, and opportunities for engagement within the Liberal Arts & Sciences degree. We will discuss the transferability of courses to four-year colleges or universities, and benefits of beginning the educational journey with an affordable, yet highly rigorous Liberal Arts program at Hudson Valley Community College. HonorScholar students receive a very generous scholarship making an already affordable education even more economical.

For additional information about the event or the HonorScholar program, please contact Dr. Michelle Bannoura (m.bannoura@hvcc.edu), HonorScholar faculty liaison, or visit www.hvcc.edu/honorscholar.
