Make #GivingTuesday part of your holiday tradition by giving to the Hudson Valley Community College Foundation on Tuesday, Dec. 1!
We are asking alumni, faculty, staff and friends to give a gift of any size on #Giving Tuesday. Our goal is to secure $10,000 in contributions from 250 donors in support of the Dwight Marvin Library Learning Commons where students receive help from:
* The Learning Assistance Center: providing one-on-one and small-group instruction in math, learning strategies and other content areas from full- and part-time education specialists, part-time professional tutors and peer tutors.
* The Computer Learning Center: providing instructional support that assists students in becoming independent and confident learners while developing the computer skills necessary for academic success.
* The Writing and Research Center: providing writing specialists to help students in completing their writing assignments.
* The Collegiate Academic Support Program: promoting the academic and personal growth of traditionally underrepresented students by providing purposeful and holistic services within an environment that celebrates diversity, inclusiveness and community.
When you make a gift on #GivingTuesday, you will ensure that students have a place to strengthen their academic and personal skills thereby creating a foundation for success.
