Last year, Human Services student Melanie Hecker won Honorable Mention in the David A. Garfinkel essay contest for her paper How have the New York Courts addressed Equal Human Rights for the LGBT Community? Melanie got help from the Writing and Research Center, hunkered down and did a fabulous job.
