Hudson Valley Community College was voted the “Best College” in the Times Union 2024 Best of the Capital Region annual readers’ choice poll! This marks the first time that Hudson Valley (or any other community college) has earned the highest honor in the annual competition. Thank you to everyone who voted and participated in our campaigning efforts!
In a poll started over 25 years ago, voters now nominate their local favorites in more than 100 different categories. This year, more than 9,500 people sent in nominations which were then narrowed to five finalists per category. Voting to determine the winners ran from Monday, Feb. 19 through Friday, March 1.
The college also placed as a runner up for Best Venue for Theater (Maureen Stapleton Theatre). And, congratulations to Interim Vice President for Student Affairs Ian LaChance, who placed as one of the best actors in our region!
