Hudsonian Poetry Competition: Entry Deadline is today, April 1

 

HUDSONIAN MOTHER’S DAY POETRY COMPETITION
“A tribute to mother and motherhood”

All HVCC students are eligible to enter and vie for valuable prizes (see below).
Entry deadline: April 1, 2022

The Hudsonian, the college newspaper, welcomes entries for its poetry competition. The theme is “A tribute to mother and motherhood.” The entrants may write about their own mother or motherhood in general. The length of the poem should not exceed 50 lines. All full-time and part-time HVCC students are eligible to enter.

The poems should be submitted to the Hudsonian or s-mahmud@hvcc.edu.
An independent panel made up of five English professors will serve as judges.

The deadline for submissions is April 1st, 2022.
The four best poems will be published in The Hudsonian in time for Mother’s Day.

The prizes are:
First prize — $125
Second prize — 75
Third prize — $50 Amazon gift card (two will be awarded)
