Feb. 3 — Survey of Key Concepts in Leadership
The opening session will do a survey of an abbreviated road map of Leadership Identity theories discussed in the preceding semester. We will revisit topics such as Social Identity, Situational Leadership Theory, Transformative Leadership, and Leadership Identity Development. In addition, this lecture seeks to combine much of this material into several core concepts that will be useful in addressing issues in leadership that arise in the proceeding sessions.

Feb. 17 — Navigating Reality: Social Inequities in Leadership
As our society becomes increasingly aware of the role social, racial, and gender inequities play in our everyday lives, this lecture explores the depths to which our civilization has sunk and some hope for the future. We look at progress in Social Justice Leadership and Distributive Leadership frameworks. Tomorrow’s leaders are coming of age in a time when our society is fully prepared to explore the injustices of the system as it were. With the cultural and social awakening, new opportunities emerge to reconsider our approaches to leadership models found largely on the inequities of the past.
