HVCC Students Enjoy Visit to the University at Albany

On March 6, 2025, a group of HVCC students visited the University at Albany. The day started with presentations by the Albany admissions team, an academic advisor, and the director of Albany’s Honors College. Three current Albany students then provided a comprehensive campus tour, which included stops at key administrative and academic buildings (including a newly opened – and impressive – eSports lab).

The visit also included a discussion on the academic opportunities offered at Albany, including 55+ majors, 75+ minors, and 45+ combined bachelor’s/master’s programs.

A special thank you to Ian LaChance, Interim Vice President for Student Affairs, George Ambriz, Dean of Enrollment Services, and Bill Bordak, Coordinator of Academic Services, for accompanying the students!

For more information, students are encouraged to contact Sandra Battaglino (Assistant Director for Transfer Services/Dual Admissions, Undergraduate Admissions with the University at Albany; sbattaglino@albany.edu). Sandra maintains regular office hours in the Siek Campus Center for student accessibility and convenience.

Students may also contact the HVCC Center for Careers and Transfer at cct@hvcc.edu.
